I made this card for this weeks Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm Blog. Which was a sketch challenge. I used a TGF sprout that I colored with Copics. I mounted her on a coaster and hand cut a scalloped circle - I really need some circle nesties...I used a Prima flower and a butterfly that I cut with my Big Shot and a Stampin Up die. After I put the card together I really felt it needed more...mini sparkles to the rescue :D The saying is also TGF.

I know what you`re thinking... "holy macaroni, she posted something...finally" Yes I have been on a self imposed hiatus, I'm back now and happy to be! I have a few posts lined up that I can't wait to share!

NOW ONTO THE IMPORTANT STUFF!!!

I made this card for this week`s challenge over at AI Factory - Green With Envy. The challenge is to recycle something and use it on your card. I used corrugated cardboard for the "sand" that I had peeled off some of the top layer to reveal the corrugated part. I also liquid glassed his glasses, cup and ball but of course my photography didn't pick it up. LOL. To make the waves I tore ocean colored paper. I never tire of this design LOL, but I think this is the best yet!!

The cute little boy, beach ball, sandals and cup are from Ai Factory from a new digtal stamp set.

Celebrate The Everyday

This week's challenge over at the Ai Factory Challenge blog is called: It's Hip To Be Square! Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to use squares only. No round brads, flowers, buttons etc. The image that the design team is playing with this week which is brand spankin new from Ai Factory is called Home Sweet Home! Here's my card!

Isn't the image darling?!! I colored it with Copics and added a little glitz to the clouds with Elmer's Opal glitter glue. I ran the light purple cardstock through the Big Shot with the checkers texture plate. All cardstock as well as the mini square sparkles are Close To My Heart . The brads are from Making Memories.

A Reason To Smile...

I had a super big reason to smile Friday when the mail came in. My ROLL CALL KIT ARRIVED!!!! I have been waiting for this baby for almost 2 weeks, but boy oh boy was it well worth the wait. These Greeting Farm Stamps are absolutely fabulous! I was so surprised to see how big they are! I only had digi's from TGF and have been printing them out way small! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!!

I finished 2 challenges today and so decided to post them both. This one is for OH Alice. It was a sketch challenge! (you can find it here)

Also I've decided that for the summer I will be posting every few days with multiple cards. Being summer we are spending tons of time outside. So I have been getting to crafting less but getting more done when I do ( like I need to make up for the lack of crafting lol) ANyhow. There's a new challenge going on this week over at Sweet Stamping Treats blog that you should check out!! It's whatever works with DT member Anne, this week she chose Black & White. Here's my creation:

I used the float digi which I colored with Copics then liquid appliqued the "float" and liquid glassed the cup. The sentiment and ribbon is Close To My Heart. The cardstock and checker Big Shot texture plate I used are Stampin Up.

Ai Factory Celebration & Sparkles challenge

There's a fabulous challenge going on over at Ai Factory challenge blog. It's to make a card with the theme celebration & sparkle. Now I have to apologize in advance before you see my card. I didn't put either on my card. I KNOW!!! I ALWAYS put sparkles on my card and on this one I went with liquid glass so my cup had shine like a real cup. *sigh* I feel like a dolt. I completely mis understood my instructions - not that they weren't good instruction mind, they just went completely over my head. And so I apologize. I still have a FAB card for you to oogle. I just missed the challenge concept completely. SO here`s my card...

I wish you could tell better from the picture but as I said I liquid glassed the cup and gave the latte a foam topping with liquid applique.

Here are my creations!

All of these creations are made with AIF's Cool kids sports graphics & clipartarts set!

What a great versatile set! That's why I couldn't make just one thing LOL. I had to make 3. The invitation just needs to be printed and cut then it's ready to go! For the cards I used MS Word to "random stamp" a background with the balls in the set. I then printed the heads and the one sentiment on another piece of cardstock and cut and assembled. These we're all very quick and easy to put together!

This card is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #67 AND The Shabby Tea Room Challenge 8 which is to get your bling on! Use LOTS of glitter. And since Karen who hosts the Sweet Sunday Sketches is the guest designer this week over at The Shabby Tea Room I figured it would be perfect to combine them!!!

Ever since I made this card I have become obsessed with using my lady silhouette stamps and embossing their clothes. This is the second one I made and I have plans for more LOL! This time I used patterned paper and clear sparkly embossing powder from Stampendous. It was harder to cut out properly as the lines were clear but I'm happy with the results!

The image, dot designer paper(DP), black cardstock and the ribbon is Close To My Heart(CTMH). The pink DP is K&Co. The base is Stampin Up. The sentiment is from Unity, the sparkles are from Michaels and the flowers are Primas. The big pink flower was white - I colored it with my Copics, spray glued it and doused it in CTMH glitter!

I love all the glittery lusciousness!

Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge #22

I have wanted to use big ribbon bows on my cards for awhile now but I'll be honest - I've been scared to! They are so big and bold! SO what better way to try it out then Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge this week which is to use...BOWS! I think I'm pretty happy with the results!

(hahaha I just realized I'm posting Sparkle's Challenge's back to back. I guess I need to make up last week's tardiness with super efficiency this week LOL)
All the paper is Stampin Up. The image, which I applied a variety of techniques to, is Close To My Heart(CTMH). It was colored with Copics, paper pieced, triple heat embossed, flocked AND glitter glued!!! The ribbon and sentiment are also CTMH. The sparkles are from Michaels.

The image which I colored with Copics is Stamping Bella. The white CS and green snowflake designer paper(DP) are Stampin Up. The other green DP is unknown. I ran all the paper through the Big Shot.

I have something really special for you today! A scrapbook layout!!! This is the first layout I've done for the twins. I'm only a year behind on pages for them (LOL they're 1) & 2 years behind on Dominic's (he's 3...almost) I decided to try a different style. Single 12x12 page - I almost went with an 81/2 x11 but I think I will do that for my about me scrapbook that I keep thinking about...maybe someday... I usually do a double12x12 page layout.

I used ghost letters...and I can't remember who they're by, but I did get them from Micheals. I put fish that I stamped in orange and then cut out behind the title. The fish stamp, round dots stamps, blue and light orange designer paper (DP) & blue cardstock base are all Close To My Heart. The ribbon and orange DP is unknown. After I assembled the layout I painted over the letters with Stampin Up frost white shimmer paint - to make the letters stand out. And because I couldn't keep the paint on JUST the letters, it made me a little crazy and I painted everywhere LOL (its hard to see in the pic but its everywhere except the DP and pic). Still not sure how I feel about the results. LOL!

Mother's Day DVD Holder

This is for AI Factory's Challenge this week. Which was to make anything but a card. I'm also using it to meet the requirement in their DT call. I'm using a freebie image you can get at AI Factory which I colored with Copics. I added Close To My Heart (CTMH) designer paper and all the stamps are also CTMH (except the character image). The lace was a gift. The primas, sparkle and binder clip are all from Micheals. I am going to put all my favorite pics of my mom on the disk as a slideshow she can pop into her DVD player....

Yellow & Grey masculine card

I made this card for this weeks Color Curtain Call: Act 26 - whisper white, basic grey, going grey & crushed curry, over at Stacy's Stampin' Stage. I also used last weeks Card Positioning System #162. AND I used lots of layers which was the requirement for this weeks challenge over at Stamp Something Challenge blog. Card base, silver diamond layer, honey cardstock(CS), light grey CS, diamond layer, white layer, image layer = 7 layers :D

All cardstock is Close To My Heart as is the waxy flax. The brads ... Im pulling a blank on. The image which I colored with Copics is by The Greeting Farm. It`s a digital image, which I just printed out a sheet of male characters. I need to up my stash of masculine cards plus Im all inspired by this blog post on how to make masculine cards easily! *good reads*

I ran the darker grey through the big shot with the diamonds texture plate from Stampin Up(SU). I then painted them with SU white shimmer paint. I am SO happy with this card. AND I love the colors which I never would have chosen myself.

I made this for the The Greeting Farm(TGF) Relay Race that was on when the TGF crew was at the last CHA. It was super fun! All the paper and ink are Close To My Heart as is the sentiment and the hemp waxy flax. The charms are unknown. I colored the TGF image with CTMH markers and added Elmers opal glitter glue to his tail. I absolutely adore this card!

What a horrible day. My poor little men had their immunization shots today AND their flu shots. 6 shots each. AND of course the man was out of town. SO gramma and I took all 3 boys (and the dog) to town. The harder they cried the harder we cried... My poor poor little men!

Always be yourself

I have to tell you, for the last 2 weeks now I have been running all over town trying to find a copy of Go To Sketches by PaperCrafts Magazine. Yesterday my luck was finally in and I found a copy at the local Michaels (this was the first place I checked but they weren't on the shelves yet.) WHOO HOO! I am LOVING this magazine!! Here is my first go at a sketch out of it. I also made it for 2 challenges (I really hate combining challenges but I keep finding all these new great challenge blogs and I just can't help myself) This week I have 12 challenges lined up. SO needless to say I have to combine a few LOL.

SO this card is for the Clearly Inspired Challenge which was to use yellow and dry embossing. And it's also for The Shabby Tea Room challenge which was use squares... the more the merrier! My card base is Close To My Heart as is the sentiment and ric rac ribbon. The flowers I made myself using this tutorial. The square brad flower centers are from Making Memories. And the leaves is a single cut up prima flower. Pretty crafty, right? LOL.

This card is for the Finally Friday Challenge over at 2 Peas in a bucket! And it was quick as could be - it took less than 30 minutes. I recieved these Thickers by American Crafts from a Paper Crafts Connections blog prize I won. And since my new rule is no hoarding I figured I had better start using them up! :D LOL. So the cardstock and designer paper are Close To My Heart, the ribbon is unknown, the flowers are by Prima and the sparkle's are from Micheals. I lightly sponge inked the thickers with hollyhock ink to better match my paper! Isn't isn't it "simply"dahling!

SO it's a LATE LATE post today. What a crazy day! It was the twins 1st birtday party today and I left everything to the last minute. So I was up at 6 and runnning till evening. SO I have an oldie but goodie for you today AND I will be posting a scrapbook page this week! I haven't done any scrapbooking in AGES but just got pics of the twins printed FINALLY!!!!

Heart 2 Heart Challenge #1

There is some fabulous new fun going on over at the new Close To My Heart Challenge (CTMH) blog Heart 2 Heart! This was the first week for challenges so if you too love CTMH you should come and join in! The challenge this week was a color challenge to use Sunflower, Sweet Leaf & Chocolate. What a fabulous combo and I am really feelin' the the color sunflower lately. So much so in fact that I've run out my supply almost completely! So all supplies are CTMH. I "colored" the cake stamp my glue stick and sprinkled glitter over it to really make the card pop! Lovin' how it turned out :D I also based the card off a sketch in the CTMH Wishes card confidence book.

Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge #18

This week at Sparkle's Christmas card challenge it was an inspirational photo.

I think this is fabulous inspiration! But then I'm also a baker and love all things baked :D For my card I made a shaker, snowglobesque card :D. All ingredients are Close To My Heart except the Elmer opal glitter glue I used on the falling snow in the stamped image.

The picture is darker than I like it but my light source kept bouncing off the acetate and messing with my image so I decided to go with a darker pic so you could see more of the details. I really wish I had paper pieced the snow under the snowmen!

Color Curtain Call: Act 24

Hahaha I TOTALLY meant to schedule this post for tomorrow morning. LOL. Oh well. SO scroll down because this is my second post for today!

This card is for Stacy's Stampin' Stage color curtain call. I am loving these color challenges! This weeks colors we're: so saffron, kraft, garden green, whisper white and tempting turquoise. I am SO happy I will actually make the deadline this week! I was so SAD when I missed it last week :D For this card I used many unknowns, meaning I don't know where the supplies came from (this may happen alot for awhile as I have vowed to overcome my papercrafting supply hoarding issues and so am buying NOTHING new THIS YEAR... and yes I've cheated once or twice... but am on track ;D) Anyways...

The brown designer paper, yellow paper and white stars are all unknown. The green designer paper is from Stampin Up. The Greeting Farm image I first colored with Copics then flocked with Doodlebug designs crushed velvet flock in white and brown. *Note to self* Flock dark color first and let dry completely before flocking light area.... we had a little mishap on the belly. I botched the job guys! Next time will be better! The sentiment is also from Close To My Heart.

I am giving this card to my sister in law who had a little boy on Tuesday night, only two hours away from my boys birthday on the 7th and only one year apart :D He's a biggin! Weighing in at a whopping 10lb 4 oz! Yep! 10lbs of cutie!

A dark birthday

I made this card for my 14 year old brother and the Sweet Sunday Sketch. It's kind of dark and Halloween-ish but seriously it's hard making cards for teenage boys! And I had better get used to it as I have 3 boys who are all going to be teens eventually! The black textured cardstock is Close To My Heart. The designer paper and "B" brad (which is a build a brad in brass) is from Stampin Up. The image which I colored with Copics is The Greeting Farm (it's based on Emmett from Twilight) The sparkles are from Micheals!

Berry Good Inchie Inkling

This is my second post for today! I need to get an extra card up so I meet all the challenge deadlines that I'm participating in this week! Scroll down to see my Stamp Something creation!

This card is for the new challenges over at the Inchie Inklings blog. I can't tell you how excited I am abotu this!!! I have a TON of teeny tiny stamps, I'm happy to be using them for the spotlight rather than the background! This card uses paper from the K & Co Berry Sweet paper pad. I ommited the sentiment becasue I thought it would take away from the sentiment within the image :D Hope you don't mind! I just LOVE that ribbon, so happy to quit hording it and finally use it. The sentiment/image is Close To My Heart, as is the white and red cardstock

I saw the funniest key chain on a blog the other day. It read "She who dies with the most supplies...WINS!!!" ILMAO! The man didn't think it was that funny... I NEED ONE!

This card is for the Stamp Something Challenge blog. This week's challenege was to use PINK! Accepted & MET! Did I ever use alot of pink :D I bought the image stamp at Stampavie and colored her with Copics, this was my first go at blending opposite colours (on her belly) I am pretty happy with the results. There's something magical about this paper. I absolutely ADORE it! I wish Close To My Heart (CTMH) sold single pieces of designer paper. I made this card for Card Positiong System (CPS) #161. The sorbet cardstock, chocolate brads and chocolate arrow brad are also all CTMH. The copic colored image I bought at Stampavie. The sentiment is from Unity.

OMG I missed posting yesterday? I thought I had scheduled a post as I knew it would be a busy day and apparently I saved it as a draft! BOO URNS! SO I have for you 2 cards today! (Scroll down for my ANYA INK post)

The first is for both the OH Alice Challenge and Farm Fresh Friday. OH Alice's challenge was to be monochromatic & distressed. The Farm Fresh Friday challenge was a sketch challenge. I used The Greeting Farm (TGF) image creepy cakes - Flutter, which I coloured with Copics. The light blue and dark blue cardstock are Close To My Heart (CTMH) and the medium blue cardstock is unknown. I cut the butterflies with Stampin’ Ups Butterfly Wings Embosslit and my Big Shot. I used the mono dies technique from Technique Junkies for the background. The sparkles are from Michaels.

My second card is for the challenge blog Anya Ink. This weeks challenge was anyhting goes - but you have to use a TGF image. I have been wanting to use this image with this stamp for awhile - it's so perfect. The sentiment inside the card says ... others just get wet! LOVE IT!... OK so the designer paper, sentiment and the white cardstock are all CTMH - it's very faint but I did run the white cardstock through the Big Shot with the Fiskgars rain texture palte... The TGF image is colored with Copics. I added Primas and sparkles from Micheals.

I am lovin this new K & Co Berry Sweet 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 paper pad! I made this card because I was inspired by the paper and knew that my Stampin Up sock monkey stamp set has not seen much love. I stamped him on Close To My Heart (CTMH) white daisy textured cardstock and colored him in with my copics. The sentiment is CTMH in their watermelon ink. I glitterized him (Elmer`s Opal) - because I just can`t help myself...love that glitter :D I added sunflower & aqua ribbons that, like most my ribbon, I have just collected over the years and so have no idea where it came from... I stapled a strip of CTMH watermelon cardstock all folded upon itself in between the ribbons and added a border of aqua colored Primas with sparkle`s from Micheals for the centers to the the top of the strips. I also used last week`s Sweet Sunday Sketch.

Get Well Birdy

I was REALLY BAD - I bought a new paper pad, just and 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 pad by K & Co. It's the Berry Sweet edition. MMMM. LOVE it and it was on SALE at WalMart! SO take that dear man :D You see I made a New Years Resolution to buy no more scrapbooking supplies until I get mine under control! Im actually doing quite well but I DO have relapses ... LOL. Anyways.

The card base is Close To My Heart (CTMH) textured white daisy that I inked clouds with in CTMH juniper. I added a CTMH citrus green layer and then the DELICIOUS pink designer paper from the K & Co Berry Sweet pad. I added a circular CTMH sunflower layer and a circular cloud layer. The bird and branch is punched with a Stampin Up punch in CTMH sunflower and citrus green. The sentiment is CTMH. The sparkles are from Micheals and the flowers are by Prima.

Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge #17

This week over at Sparkle's Christmas card challenge blog the challenge was to use snowflakes! This one was easy peasy and TONS of fun. I LOVE snowflakes and of course winter is my favorite season, which if you live in Northern BC like I do it pretty much has to be. ALthough this winter was not a very snowy one at all - boo urns! Anyways.

For this card I used and old Sweet Sunday sketch. I made the panels first by random stamping Close To My Heart (CTMH) snowflakes in dutch blue on a piece of 4x4 white daisy textured cardstock (CS). I then heat embossed them with Stampendous clear glitter embossing powder. I then dry embossed with the a snowflake embossing plate and my Big Shot. THEN I punched snowflakes out with a Creative Memories punch. I inked where there was dry embossing with coordinating CTMH ink.

To turn them into panels I cut down the 4x4 piece of CS into 4 - 2x2 pieces. I backed each panel with double stick tape and adheared them to CTMH indian corn blue CS. Using Doodlebug sugar coating glitter, I coated where the tape showed through on the panels. LOVE that technique! The image is from CC Designs over at All That Scraps, which I colored with Copics. I coated the windows with CTMH liquid glass and the snow with Elmer's opal glitter glue. The sentiment is CTMH.

Hybrid Mommy Advice Cards

Another project for Luise's baby shower... I just LOVE baby shower's! This is also my first hybrid project... I made it with Photoshop CS and some free kits that I downloaded AGES ago from The Shabby Shoppe. My first layer is the diamond designer "paper", the second layer is a dark pink "cardstock" and I added the Mommy advice in the font Kirsten ITC. The third layer is a light pink "cardstock" with dark pink lines for writing. The last thing I added was the stitched hearts.

I then printed them out on white cardstck, cut them out and added the Prima flowers, a drop of Elmer's opal glitter glue and a couple of Close To My Heary pearls.

Luise can adhere them all to a 12x12 piece of cardstock and turn them into a double layout for her album. Although I would like to say this was purposful, I SO did this by accident :D

Celebrate the occasion guestbook

I made this guest book using a DaisyD's CD Mini Book kit. It was a gift that I thought I would never use but as I was frantically searching for Luise's congratulations card I came across the kit and thought it would make a nice guestbook. (Side note I didn't think I'd use it, not becausee it's not beautiful, but becasue I have all boys and don't tend to scrapbook about myself and it's very girly...) Anyhow I added paper to the front and back of the tabs for the guests to write on, all added paper is Close To My Heart (CTMH). I stamped a flower (CTMH) added a scalloped edge made with a Stampin Up punch, pearls from CTMH and a "Taylor's pic to come" sign. I distressed the whole album with CTMH blush ink. I then decorated the front with a Stampin Bella image that I colored with Copics, some Prima flowers and sparkles from Micheals. SUPER CUTE!

Clearly Inspired Challenge #10

This card is for the Clearly Inspired Challenge over at the Clearly I Stamp blog. It's a sketch challenge which I love ;D as I'm sure you know!! All products Close To My Heart except the buttons which are unknown, the sparkles that are from Micheals and the flocking on the birds which is from Doodlebug designs crushed velvet flock assortment. I colored the birds feet, beaks and the sentiment with Copics. The sentiment was punched with a Stampin Up punch.

Summer Sunrise...

This card started out as an ATC, which I then turned into a series of 4, which has since been swapped out :D I then turned it into a 6x6 layout for my techniques albums workshops. And NOW THIS card!
It seems I am obsessed with this layout. I actually think next I will turn it back into an ATC but turn it into a seasons series and do one for each of the other seasons in the same style. Anyhow... now I'm babbling. I will get on with the card...

All ingredients are Close To My Heart other than the glitter on both the sandals and the water they are both from Doodle Bug Designs sugar coating glitter assortment. The butterflies are cut with my Big SHot and Stampin Up Butterfly Wings Embosslit. The desert sand cardstock was run through the Big Shot with the Fiskars carpet texture plate. I then inked it to make the texture stand out a bit more and pop-ed the "sand" on 2 layers of foam tape. For the sandals I stamped them onto watermelon cardstock with Versa Mark and then used Stampin Up's Heat & Stick powder. The water is ocean cardstock that has been sponged in the coordinating ink and then covered with liquid glass and lightly sprinkled with the blue glitter.I pop-ed the "ocean" on 3 layers of foam tape I also liquid glassed the dolphin and pop-ed him up on 2 layers of foam tape. I cut the "sun" out of sunny yellow cardstock with my Coluzzle and sponged it in the coordinating ink, I then pop-ed it up on a layer of foam tape. For the background clouds I sponged ocean ink with a cloud shaped mask onto textured white daisy carstock. I adhered the butterflies on a glue dot that I rolled into a ball to give them a bit more pop as well!

Oh Alice Chapter 6 & Farm Fresh Friday

I was feeling very inspired by the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge which was a color challenge:

Red, Light Blue & Yellow. I am also REALLY digging these Creepy Cake digi's from The Greeting Farm. Here's what I came up with:

This card also covers this week's OH Alice Challenge which was to use text on your card. All ingredients are Close To My Heart (CTMH) except the image (Greeting Farm), which I colored with Copics and the binder clip that I bought at Micheals.Also the white border is punched with a Stampin Up punch. I heat embossed the crystal blue cardstock with clear glittery embossing powder by Stampendous.

I LOVE the BAKING, to give baking and receive it that's what Christmas IS for me! I mean really who doean't love the smell of fresh baked goods wafting through the air!

You make my heart flutter...

This card is for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch. After a MAD day super cleaning - we're selling our house... need I say more. UGH! SO. after the MAD DASH I sat down for a little R&R and came up with this little diddy! I was inspired to use these colors by a piece of designer paper I was going to use BUT when I colored with my Copics the blue's didn't match. SO I made my own designer paper :D All the paper except the vellum is Close To My Heart (CTMH) The background stamp is also CTMH. The Sentimment is from Unity. The main image is from The Greeting Farm which as I said I colored with Copics. The small flower is CTMH and the big one is Prima. All the sparkles are from Micheals. The vellum is from Walmart. I cut lots of butterflies with the Butterfly Wings Embosslit from Stampin Up out of the CTMH sunny yellow cardstock and inked them in the co ordinating color. I then adhered them randomly to a piece of co ordianting cardstock that had also been sponged. Its called the mono dies technique over at Technique Junkies. Here`s my take on this weeks Sweet Sunday sketch!

Distressed Little Lady ATC

It seems Im on a little ATC kick here... I love love love this little ladybug. She's just adorable! She's made by Close To My Heart (CTMH), in fact this whole card is made with CTMH products! The sassy strand around the edge of the card was originally white, I colored it by laying it on my chocolate ink pad and pressing it in with a sponge until it was the color I was looking for!!

I absolutely LOVE to make ATC's because they are so quick and easy PLUS they use up scraps :D The Acetate is from my local Office Supply store, the designer paper is from Stampin Up (SU) The sentiment, stamp, brad, flowers and sparkles are all from Close To My Heart (CTMH) I heat embossed the sentiment and stamp in CTMH chocolate embossing powder.

OH Alice Chapter 5

This week's challenge over at OH ALice is to use butterflies or caterpillars. I scraplifted the idea for this card from somewhere... Its a shaped card, which Im going making more often because they are so much fun, it has 3 folds. The base is Close To My Heart (CTMH) textured white daisy cardstock, the second pink tier is CTMH watermelon cardstock that I ran through my Big Shot with the birthday vines plate and then sponged in the coordinating ink. The bottom tier of designer paper which is made of mulberry paper and heat embossed is unknown. The butterflies were cut with my Big Shot and Butterfly Wings embosslit from Stampin Up (SU) in CTMH Watermelon and then sponged in the coordinating color. I put a strip of CTMH watermelon organdy ribbon on the top tier. I left the card blank inside because I can use it for a Congratulations on your baby girl or your wedding or as Happy Birthday card... SO VERSATILE!!!

Good Luck Elephant

WOW, I so went out of my comfort zone with this card! I NEVER work with these colors... but WOW am I loving this card! Very India inspired. This is for 2 Peas in a bucket's Finally Friday Challenge. Which was an inspiration challenge (inspiration pic is under my card pics) I used Close To My Heart (CTMH) Desert sand textured cardstock which I then painted over with Stampin Up's (SU) Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. LOVE how it turned out!!! I then added some textured designer paper that came in a bulk pack from Micheals. I added a border of CTMH Honey textured cardstock that I punched with a SU punch. The Sentiment and Elelphant, also CTMH, we're stamped in Bronze pigment ink. The sparkle's are from Micheals. I pop-ed the elepahant on foam tape! Now without further ado...

I just whipped this up in less than 30 minutes. Man I love those simple cards and when the creative juices just flow! The card base is Close To My Heart (CTMH) White. I stamped the dot border and the sentiment which are also CTMH in Autumn Terracotta. The ribbon is unknown (and was also the inspiration).Underneath the ribbon I put down a strip of double sided tape and smooshed Martha Stewart Micro Beads in Fire Opal onto it. The flower sparkles are from Micheals.

I have a fabulous Christmas card for you today done with a fabulous sketch by Sparkle Smith for her Christmas Card Challenge. If you haven't been to her blog yet it is a must see. She has a lovely style and a new card everyday!

For my card I used a Stamping Bella image which I colored with Copics. The stripe designer paper is unknown (I think it came with a Christmas pack from Walmart) The sparkles are from Micheals. The buttons, sentiments, cardstock and red ho ho ho designer paper are Close To My Heart. I ran the papers through my Big Shot and used a Stampin Up punch for the border below the sentiment.

I am starting a regular Sunday post called "Simply Sunday" that feature's cards I've made in 30 minute's or less. This was to be the first card of that series but alas I have fallen a tiny bit behind... and so here it is today. I'm back to work now and so I'm re working my routine. Please bare with me, it is just a hiccup :D Anyhow I made this card in less than 30 minutes. All stamps are Close To My heart. I Stamped the heart each color of the rainbow masking them so they fit together. Since the stamp was an outline stamp I colored them in with my copics. Then I stamped over the hearts the sentiment in Black. The border on the bottom is a punch from Stampin up out of their Sale A Bration Cattie. The sparkles are from Micheals.

This card is for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 60. Very quick post, sorry. The colors are Close To My Heart's: CLover Meadow, Citrus green, Kiwi Kiss and White, this applies to the ink as well as the cardstck used. Stamps also CTMH and were stamped on white with vera mark. I applied clear embossing powder and heat set it. I then used the burnished background technique from Technique Junkies to make the background. The ribbon is unknown and the butterflies are cut with my Big SHot and the Butterfly Wings Embosslit from Stampin Up.

This card is for Amy my sister in law for her birthday and for Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm. This week's challenge was to make a birthday card as it was also Farmer Marie's Birthday. I love making Birthday cards so this challenge was easy peasy :D The image is (of course) from The Greeting Farm, she's a digital image and inspired by Twilight's Alice. I colored her with Copics. I already LOVE The Greeting Farm but I love them EVEN MORE for their Twilight line. You should check out the galleria - there are some AMAZING Twilight cards in there. This one is my favorite!

OH how I could RAVE about UNITY. I will save that for another day, but I will say this: The more I use their stamps the more I love them TOO. (Perhaps I`m just becoming more of an addict, yes, no) The sparkles are from Micheals and the Ribbon is unknown.

I'm so excited to share my creation for the Stamp Something Challenge blog which puts out a new challenge every Friday. This week's challenge is to stamp something cream and green! I immediently thought St Patrick's Day as Im sure veryone does when they think green at this time of the year. But I decided to make an Easter card instead. Very Spring like!

First things first I made the pennant banner, which was the Finally Friday Challenge over at 2 Peas In A Bucket this week from there I pulled the colors of the banner and created the design. I stamped the sun in CTMH Sunny Yellow and colored it in with Copics, I then masked the sun and random stamped 3 different types of clouds by Unity in 3 generations, in CTMH Dutch Blue. Then I added the CTMH sweet leaf textured cardstock which I had sponged in the same color. I then stamped the bike in CTMH Chocolate and colored it in with Copics. I added the pennant banner and the sentiment which I stamped in CTMH Chocolate and then stamped clouds in second generation CTMH Dutch Blue. I pop-ed the sentiment with foam tape. OOOOOhhh I ALMOST forgot - I added beads to the ends of the pennant banner. Super cute! And as an after thought I stamped some butterflies in CTMH Blush. All stamps are by Unity

You know what I love MOST about papercrafting? You can pretty much save anything - you make a mistake - you can cover it up... AND IT'S OK!!! LOL

OH ALICE Challenge #3

I made this card for this week's OH ALICE Challenge which was to use the colors: red, blue & purple on your card - at first I thought this color combination was going to be hard but once I colored the image (with Copics) it was actually quite easy to put the card together. The image is from The Greeting Farm, isn't she adorable? And they call her a creepy cake :D This is my second try at red hair, you didn't see the first try because it was that bad LOL! I'm VERY happy with how her hair turned out. The card sketch is from Close To My Heart's originals card pattern book and is called Log Cabin. The designer paper and cardstock is also Close To My Heart. Once I sponged and adhered the designer paper to the black cardstock I ran it through my Big Shot and then direct to paper inked the embossing. The main image is "pop"ed up on foam tape. The felt flowers came free with a magazine (I love working in a bookstore, I always see the best deals ; ) I put two of the felt flowers together and secured them with a Black CTMH bitty brad, the photo clip is also CTMH. The buttons I've had forever and haven't the foggiest where they came from!

Get Well Dragon

I colored this guy a long time ago and put him in my file folder of colored images - that's right file folder...lol. This is something I do often and rather than throw out a colored image because Im not happy with it at the time for whatever project Im working on I file them away for future inspiration. When I seen the current challenge over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps I knew I had to use this image by Dustin Pike. This little guy is just too cute! The challenge was to use stars on your project so I ran the purple & yellow cardstocks through the Big Shot with 2 different star folders. Then I decided there wasn't enough stars so I added the yellow star sparkles the came free with a magazine. The card sketch is from Close To My Heart's Wishes card pattern book. I wasnt sure at first about this sketch but am SO glad I used it because it's perfect! I outlined the green designer paper with waxy flax from CTMH to really make it pop.

Belated Birthday Clock

It seems I'm Alice obsessed lately, this card is Alice inspired with the sentinment and clock. It's going to be a belated birthday card for someone's birthday I'm bound to miss this year (I've already missed 3...) Anyways. I stamped the background squares with a Close To My Heart(CTMH) stamp in Baby Pink. The pink cardstock is CTMH Blush and the designer paper was in a pack from Wal Mart, I ran both through my Big SHot. The spiral came from my local scrapbook store and the flowers are Primas, the centers are pearls from CTMH. The alice inspired sentiment is computer generated. I stamped the Unity clock in CTMH Black and colored it with Copics, I then liquid glasses (CTMH) the face of the clock - I love that you can see the reflection of the window in it :D I'm quite happy with the result!!

Lucky...

In honor of the upcoming holiday and because I just had to play with the scalloped heart embosslit I made this four leaf clover card. I have always loved four leaf clovers, looking for them everytime I sit in the grass...

The white background was run though my big shot. I rubbed the clover with green shimmer paint and paper pieced the stem. The sentiment is CTMH and embossed shimmery green powder.The sparkles are from Micheals and the border punch is SU.

This card is in honor of the release of Tim Burton's new ALiCe in WOnderLanD movie.

AND I just couldn't wait to share my version of the Clearly Delightful Monthly Challenge ( ...and secretly I want to be the first one to post a card :D)

The rules:

A panel can be divided by any means, sewing, embellishment, different papers... use your imagination!

B panel can be anything... paper, ribbon, embellishments...

C panel is where your focus image should be

D panels are either a sentiment or accent of sorts.

Card base AND panel shapes can be ANY SHAPE!

You may flip and/or rotate!

My Version:

I use my coluzzle to cut out the circles of paper. The orange layer I cut in half and seperated a little and then covered the gap with a border. The sentiment and Cheshire Cat are computer generated and colored with copics. All CS and DP is CTMH. Prima flowers and sparkles from Micheals complete the card!

Burnished Background ATC Card

Pink Elephant Birthday

I made this card for my mother in law, she loves elephants and I thought of her whn I seen this image. One of my New Years Resolutions is to send all my friends and family a birthday card. So far I have missed 3 birthdays... I am going to be sending out some belated birthday cards alreayd, not a good way to start the year :(

I colored the elephant with Copics and then "pop"ed her up woth foam tape. I then dry embossed the Happy Birthday cardstock with my Big Shot and glitter glued every dot on the designer paper. Yes I'm a sparkle addict and it's ok!

Season's Greeting's ATC turned card

Sadly I am not going to make the sweet Sunday or OH Alice challenges... not a good week in the challenge department... try try again, next week!

I made this card using a technique called Jane's Coat from an inssue of Technique Junkies. I changed the technique by using a white instead of Black. I absolutely LOVE this technique. When I needed a replacement card for the card that got LOST in the mail I decided to turn this ATC into a full size greeting card. I like how it turned out and will do this again for sure!

The green cardstock was run through my Big Shot and although you can't see it the swirly design on the ATC sparkles because a girl can never have too many sparkles!

A quick thank you

I cased this style of thank you note from another blog (and at this time I cannot remember which one - sorry) I love that it's circular and so quick to make. If you don't count the swiss pixie this thank you note only took me 15 minutes to make. If you include the swiss pixie it took 30 minutes - and thats still pretty quick!

I'm still trying to catch up on my challenges which I am hoping to get to tomorrow. One thing I did get finished - FINALLY is the organization of my stamps. I cut my stamp envelops in half and lost 3 boxes, which is great on my storage situation!

A Sparkling Tree

Another creation derived from this paper rose tutorial. After making the vase of roses I thought to myself…If I make those roses green and turn that vase into a tree trunk…. add a bit of glue, a sprinkle of glitter and a few buttons… an inked cloud background, sun and paper pieced rolling hills… and VOILA! TOO CUTE!

Be yourself...

These are ATC'S (Artist Trading Cards) they are 2 1/2" x 3 1/2", the size of a trading card, which is the whole idea of ATC's - make them to trade them. I participate and host swaps on Art 42 which is a fabulous swap site based out of the states. Most swaps are 3 cards, which takes no time at all to make especially if you choose to work in series such as I do (I usually make a series of 4 cards that are exactly the same) I made these cards for the "Sparkle" themed swap I'm hosting. What I love about ATC's is that they are quick, easy, and use little in the way of supplies - more often then not I use my scraps. It's perfect! I hope to host some swaps from my blog in the future! Stay Tuned!

The pink image is a stamp that I embossed and paper pieced and then I covered the dress in sparkles. The fourth card is for me to keep in my collection ;D

This is a recessed window card of which I cannot rave enough about! They are fabulous! You will be seeing a few more of these... okay ALOT more of these because they are SO much fun and easy (once you do the first one!)

I made this card and then once it was done I gave the character a haircut... I often change my card once it's already finished because after I finish a card I set it in a place where I can see it and analyze it all night and then I change it for better... or sometimes worse. LOL. I think it was for better this time especially since my friend Susan thatI gave it to has short hair :D

In the "refined" picture you can see how I rigged up the card so that it stays standing, the front is heavy and it kept falling open so I stapled a sassy strand with a decorative staple to the backof the card and then wrapped the sassy strand around the button on the front of the card.

Earth Mover

Dominic and I spent lots of time outside in the front yard this summer while the twins had their naps as they were so small they slept lots. Don't worry I took a baby monitor with me! Anyways I took tons of great pictures AND THEN I discovered that when I shot those great pictures I took them on the wrong setting and they are so small when you put them on a 12x12 Layout... I was so sad :( *Tip: Don't touch settings you when you don't know what they do. Lesson learned! So I have to put lots of pics on a layout, this is the first layout in my mini pic series LOL!

Rainbow Unicorn

I was recently blessed by the goddess of creativity with a sweet deal on some Copic markers. Copic makers are alcohol based rather than dye based, they blend well, they don't streak, you can replace just the tip rather than the whole marker and they are refillable. I was pretty sure I was never going to own a Copic as they are SO far beyond my price range it's not even funny but I came across a once in my life time opportunity that I took advantage of which leaves me with 60 BRAND SPANKIN NEW COPICS! I was like a kid at Christmas waitng for those markers to arrive LOL. They came and they are WONDERFUL! I'm gushing, I know!

ONTO THE ART!

I colored the unicorn with Copics leaving the body white and then covered the body with opal glitter glue. I wanted to have the colors of the rainbow somewhere on the card other than the unicorn thus the colored metal spirals. I am going to give this card to my niece Calli for the birthday.

Birthday Superstar

This card is for this week's TCP Tuesday challenge which was a color challenge: olive, light blue & ivory. Since these are pretty masculine colors I decided to go with this Emmett like character - I just love this image!

You really can't tell in the pic but the blue piece of cardstock is dry embossed with stars. The green star DP is random stamped which is a technique I heart! I cut the green DP out of the center of the chipboard stars, very happy with the results!

After posting the last pic of the card I took and exacto knife to it ... What do you think?

I just HAD to make some of these super cute paper roses when I saw them here. I thought they would make a BEAUTIFUL bouquet! Especially once I glitterized them! (I spray glued the flowers and then covered them in Prisma glitter.)

Welcome to the Vagabond Stamper!!!

There’s a SPARKLING new horizon on my crafting journey and although I have no idea where it will lead me I feel anticipation and excitement to be on this wonderful creative path.

Recently I decided to resign from being a Close To My Heart consultant, a journey which I have been enjoying immensely for the past two and a half years. I will not actually be finished until March as I am having one last get together with all the ladies who supported that journey next Sunday but it IS in the works. There are 2 main reasons I have decided to resign. 1. I have 2 - 10 month old boys AND a 2 1/2 year old boy. That’s a big responsibility to ask someone to take on while I`m out. Plus I’m having slight separation anxiety, LOL. And 2. I have been pulled into blogland, which has kind of taken over all my free time. I find myself participating more in blog hops and creating for swaps, contests, challenges etc. rather than dedicating that time to my CTMH business. I am of course not abandoning CTMH altogether as I plan on ordering from and joining my upline’s Hostess Rewards club, I STILL LOVE CTMH PRODUCTS!!! It just time to journey a different path!

Lastly (before the ART of course!!!) Why Vagabond Stamper, you may ask? I thought long and hard about what this new blog should be named, what I wanted it to be and where I wanted it to go. I think vagabond describes my creative style now… A vagabond is an itinerant person (a person who travels from place to place with no fixed home). Such people may be called drifters, rogues, or hobos. A vagabond is characterized by almost continuous traveling, lacking a fixed home, temporary abode, or permanent residence. It’s perfect :D

NOW ONTO THE ART!!!

I made this for my friend Alisa’s Birthday!

Using my coluzzle I nested strips of patterned paper in the colors of the rainbow and then glazed it all over with opal glitter glue. The clouds are cut freehand out of white stitched/glittered patterned paper.

The background clouds are inked on textured white paper which I usually use non textured cardstock but I was extremely pleased with the results as I think the textured cardstock gives them a “lighter” quality.

I couldn’t settle on which color of the rainbow to use for the border so I just used them all! Problem SOLVED!
